Terminates at Boston South Station and Fall River, MA or New Bedford, MA depending on direction of travel. Trains go direct from New Bedford inbound, with shuttle service from Fall River, and vice versa for outbound, generally. Mass Coastal RR and CSX run locals along the line as well.
This is Myricks junction, as well as the Myricks St. crossing. It is a four-tracked crossing, which is bigger than most on the MBTA, or on the East Coast in general. It also has a large signal bridge past the south of the crossing. As opposed to much north of this, anybody who goes will be able to see the MBTA shuttle moves that the trains make along this line. So, it often ends up in around 3-4 trains in 10-15 minutes, and then nothing for the next hour. However, Mass Coastal also operates daytime locals which will go through this crossing as well, albeit much less than the MBTA traffic. Parking can be done either in the grass near Grove St, or in the lot of the kung-fu academy nearby.
